Additional information
Ownership, contact, corrections, disclaimers, copyright and accessibility. The disclosures that do not belong to any single policy but that a reader is entitled to find in one place.
This page collects the things that make a publication accountable rather than anonymous: who stands behind it, how to reach a person who can act, what happens when we get something wrong, and the boundaries of what our guides are. It is deliberately specific. A page like this is only useful to the extent that it names things.
Who publishes this site
Gritwright is an independent publication. It is not owned by, funded by, or operated on behalf of any brand, retailer, supplement company, gym chain, media group or advertising network. Nobody outside the masthead has a say in what gets published, and no third party holds a contractual right to review, approve or veto a guide.
Editorial responsibility sits with the founding editor, Ahmet Abiç, whose name appears on the guides he writes and whose profile links from every byline. Where a guide is reviewed by someone with relevant qualifications, that person is named at the top of the article, their credential is stated, and they are never the same person who wrote it.
How to contact us
Write to info.remove.this@gritwright.com for anything: a correction, a question about a guide, a privacy request, a permissions question, or a complaint about something you think reads like an advertisement.
That address reaches a person rather than a ticketing system, and it is the same address for every kind of message. We do not operate a separate press desk, a partnerships inbox or an escalation path that readers cannot use. Corrections are answered before anything else in the inbox, because they affect every other reader of that page.
| If you want to | Send | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| Report an error | The guide's URL and what you believe is wrong, ideally with a source. | We check it against the source and correct it in public if it holds. |
| Make a privacy request | The email address you subscribed with. | We tell you what we hold, or delete it, as you prefer. |
| Ask about reuse | What you want to quote and where. | Usually nothing: permission is already granted in writing. |
| Complain about a guide | What reads as biased, unsafe or paid for, and why. | We re-examine the guide and publish the outcome either way. |
Corrections and complaints
If something on this site is wrong, we want to know, and we would rather hear it bluntly than not at all. Here is precisely what happens when you tell us:
- We check the claim against the source. If the source does not support what we wrote, the guide is wrong regardless of how confident it sounded.
- We fix it and date the fix. Every guide carries an update history listing what changed and when. Corrections appear there in plain language rather than being made silently.
- Significant corrections are stated on the page. If a correction changes the advice rather than a detail, the guide says so where a reader will see it, not only in the revision log.
- We do not remove criticism of ourselves. A record of having been wrong is more useful to you than a clean archive is to us.
- If we disagree, we say so and say why. A complaint we reject still gets an answer, and if the question is genuinely contested we would rather publish the disagreement than pretend to a certainty we do not have.
The full workflow, from commission to retirement, is on the editorial process page.
Health and medical disclaimer
Gritwright publishes information, not personal medical advice. Guides on training, nutrition, sleep and recovery are written for a general adult readership and cannot account for your injuries, medications, conditions or history.
Nothing here replaces a conversation with a doctor, physiotherapist or other qualified professional, and nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. If you have a medical condition, are taking medication, are recovering from injury or surgery, or feel pain during exercise, speak to a professional before acting on anything you read here.
Where a guide touches physical risk, it is reviewed before publication by someone with a relevant qualification and it defers to official guidance, including the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans (official source) and the NHS physical activity guidelines. If you think you are having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service rather than reading a website.
Financial disclaimer
Guides about money, work and investing are general information. They are not personal financial advice, not tax advice, and not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Your circumstances, your obligations and the rules where you live all change what the right answer is, and none of those are visible to us. Where a decision is significant, speak to a qualified adviser who can see your actual situation.
Accuracy, currency and retirement
Every guide states when it was published, when it was last updated and, where relevant, when it was last reviewed by a qualified reviewer. Evidence moves, prices move and products are discontinued. A guide is our best understanding on the date it carries.
When a guide can no longer be made accurate, we retire it rather than leave it standing. Removing outdated advice is preferable to leaving something plausible and wrong in front of a beginner who has no way of telling which it is.
Copyright and permissions
Text, illustrations, photographs and page design on this site are the property of Gritwright unless credited otherwise. Quoting is welcome and permission is granted in writing, for people and machines alike, on the AI and content usage page. Republishing a guide in full without permission is not covered by that grant.
Product names, logos and brands mentioned in guides belong to their respective owners. Mentioning a brand does not imply that the brand endorses us, or that we have any relationship with it beyond what the guide discloses.
If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, write to info.remove.this@gritwright.com with the page, the material and your claim. We will look at it and remove anything we cannot justify.
Accessibility
This site is built to be readable without JavaScript, navigable by keyboard, and usable with a screen reader. Text scales with your browser settings, animation is reduced automatically if your system asks for less motion, colour is never the only way information is conveyed, and every image carries alternative text or is marked decorative.
We aim at the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as the standard rather than as an aspiration. If something here blocks you, tell us: an accessibility problem is treated as a defect, not a feature request, and it goes to the front of the queue with corrections.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS everywhere, has no user accounts, stores no passwords and handles no payments on its own infrastructure. If you find a security issue, write to info.remove.this@gritwright.com rather than publishing it, and give us a reasonable window to fix it. We will not threaten anybody who reports a problem in good faith.
Where everything else lives
The rest of our standards are documented in this section, each on its own page:
- Editorial process: how a guide is commissioned, sourced, reviewed, published and corrected.
- How we test: what the Field-tested badge requires, and what our method cannot prove.
- Advertising policy: how we make money and what it can never buy.
- AI and content usage: permission to quote this site, and the machine-readable endpoints we publish.
- Privacy notice: what we collect, which is almost nothing, and the legal basis for it.
